Futurist Foundry is a multidisciplinary industrial & product design studio, specializing in the creation of conceptual work. All work is designed and fabricated in Portland, OR.
ADVANCED COMPOSITES
A series of prototypes, ADVANCED COMPOSITES utilizes the OpenFab modular system as the foundation used to convey a carbon composites concept. The linear carbon combined with 3D printed composite carbon variations achieved through the merging of technologies brings out a warm and vibrant violin. The silhouette makes use of replicated pores that mirror the nano texture of traditional wood and the modular system adapts to the musicians needs with the ability to be modified over time.

ADVANCED COMPOSITES - PROTOTYP_6CF_RAY_4/4 [SOLD]
The studio’s first in a series of prototypes, PROTOTYP_6CF_RAY_4/4 utilizes the @OpenFabPDX modular system as the foundation used to convey a carbon composites concept. The linear carbon combined with 3D printed composite carbon variations achieved through the merging of technologies brings out a warm and vibrant violin.
